Goodreads Review of Stephenie Meyer's Midnight Sun

Midnight Sun (The Twilight Saga, #5) is Stephenie Meyer's retelling of Twilight, the first installment to her franchise, but from Edward's POV. I enjoyed learning what Edward was up to when he wasn't around Bella. His off-the-page, out-of-that-scene activites that were missing from the original Twilight, revealed a charming, thoughtful, emotional character who was not quite sure of himself and and how to contain his fierce vampire urges around the love he had waited decades to meet. Though this story weight in at a heafty 817 pages, I didn't want the tale to end! Have always loved Stephenie Meyer's strong, first person narrative POV.
